The Elmira Sugar Kings lead the Cambridge RedHawks 3-1 in their best-of-seven first round series.

The Cambridge RedHawks are still alive.

Down 3-0 in their first round Midwestern Conference series against the Elmira Sugar Kings, the team came away with a 5-1 win on home ice Tuesday night to force a Game 5.

Cambridge natives Reid Gammage and Jake Skuta both scored as the RedHawks jumped out to a 4-0 lead after two periods and never looked back in front of 607 fans at Galt Arena Gardens.

In goal, Leland Gill stopped 34 of 35 shots to earn the win.

They now travel to Elmira for Game 5 tonight at Woolwich Memorial Centre. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:15 p.m.

Should the RedHawks win, Game 6 comes back to Cambridge on March 16.

Game 7, if necessary, is March 17 in Elmira.
