Pilot walks away from Collingwood plane crash

The pilot, who was the lone occupant of the plane, was taken to hospital with minor injuries, police say

One person was taken to hospital with minor injuries after a small aircraft made an emergency landing in Collingwood.

Emergency crews responded to a report of a plane that landed in a farmer's field on Raglan Street, near Poplar Sideroad, around 6 p.m. on April 23. 

Ontario Provincial Police say the pilot, who was the lone occupant of the aircraft, walked away with minor injuries and was taken to Collingwood General & Marine Hospital.

Transport Canada has been notified of the incident.
