Another COVID-19 outbreak has been declared in a local hospital.

The latest is at Cambridge Memorial Hospital in the Medicine B Inpatient Unit in Wing C, Level 4. It comes after two patients tested positive.

Infection prevention and control measures are in effect in the unit. That includes enhanced screening and cleaning, and visitor restrictions.

This marks the sixth hospital outbreak in Waterloo Region currently. There are still two reported at St. Mary's General Hospital; on the fourth and seventh floor medicine units.

As of last Friday, Grand River Hospital reported three COVID-19 outbreaks as well.
