Public Health reports three new COVID-related deaths

Three new COVID-related deaths were confirmed by Region of Waterloo Public Health in the latest update.

As a result, the local death toll is now 491.

Hospitalizations due to COVID-19 have lowered by one since the last update. There are currently 62 patients hospitalized, with six patients in intensive care with COVID.

231 new cases were also confirmed, putting the overall total at 53,102.

The active caseload is up by 15 since the last update to 312.
