A quiet weekend is ahead for Cambridge, but vendors and movie nights are at the top of the list for families to get out and enjoy the city.
Thursday August 4
1. Outdoor movie night

Movies start at dusk (Around 8:30 p.m.), weather dependent.
Every Thursday in the month of August, the City of Cambridge hosts an outdoor movie night for all ages. Set up on an inflatable screen in the civic square, members of the community can come out and watch classic children's movies. This week is a screening of the 1999 animated film, Beauty and the Beast.
Friday August 5
1. Walk Queen
Queen Street downtown Hespeler
3 p.m. - 10 p.m.
The Hespeler Village BIA will be closing Queen Street East, Cambridge, from Guelph Ave. to Tannery St for Walk Queen. This gives the community a unique opportunity to experience Hespeler Village in a new way. From free yoga to Latin dance classes, there are events for everyone.
Saturday August 6
1. Walk Queen
Queen Street downtown Hespeler
3 p.m. - 10 p.m.
Another day of Walk Queen hits the streets of Hespeler with backyard games, highlighted by a night-time roller disco.
2. Cambridge Farmers Market
40 Dickson St, Cambridge
7 a.m. - 1 p.m.
With almost 60 vendors, the Cambridge Farmers Market brings local artisans and vendors to the heart of downtown Cambridge.
Sunday August 7
1. Walk Queen
Queen Street downtown Hespeler
3 p.m. - 10 p.m.
One final day of Walk Queen returns to cap off the weekend in Hespeler. On this day free yoga classes will be offered by Atlas Studio. There will also be backyard games and inflatable playgrounds for children.
2. Galt Jazz
Main Street downtown Cambridge
2 p.m. - 5 p.m.
On the first Sunday of every month Galt Jazz offers free jazz concerts, bringing in what they describe as A-list musicians.
3. Concerts in the park
Forbes Park
7 p.m. - 8 p.m.
The city of Cambridge will be hosting another Concerts in the Park, hosting jazz band Howard Gaul – The “Bread Hunters.”
