NEWS RELEASE
CAMBRIDGE & NORTH DUMFRIES COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
*************************
Recently, the Boards of Directors of Cambridge & North Dumfries Community Foundation and Kitchener Waterloo Community Foundation started dialogue about the possibility of becoming one Community Foundation that would serve the whole region. These dialogues have been sparked by the planned departure over the next year of Anne Lavender, CNDCF, Executive Director and Elizabeth Heald, KWCF, President & CEO.

As Mike Braga, Chair of CNDCF states, “In these discussions, maintaining and growing connection in local communities will be a priority. Gaining from a regional approach while retaining local presence is the model that will be studied over the coming months to determine if this approach would increase the impact of our Community Foundations.”

“We see this as a natural evolution of the strong partnership we have had for the past six years that includes collaborative work with our community partners as well as our back-office integration which is already in place.” stated, Lori Payne, Chair of KWCF.

It is important to know that, while this study is underway, both Community Foundations remain completely committed to their work with fundholders, donors, grantees, investees and partners.
