Water skier Whitney McClintock-Rini will once again represent Canada, this time at the Pan American Championships in Santiago, Chile.

Cambridge's Whitney McClintock-Rini is heading to Santiago, Chile, for the 2022 IWWF Pan American Water Ski Championships this week along with her accomplished water ski family.

The championships take place from Nov. 29 to Dec. 3.

Whitney's stepdaughter Paige Rini will represent Canada on the water in Santiago, Chile, at the Pan Am Championships in open women’s slalom, trick, jump, and overall, while Whitney's husband Matt, will be travelling to Chile as one of Team Canada’s coaches.

Whitney is also part of Team Canada and will be competing in Chile in open women’s slalom.

Whitney is the reigning Pan Am Championship open women’s overall champion, open women’s slalom silver medalist, and open women’s jump silver medalist.

She joined the national team early in her teenage years in 2003. Since then, she has had tremendous success on the international stage. Some include 11 medals at the Pan Am Games and being a six-time world champion.

Matt was part of the Canadian National Water Ski Program as an athlete and has since grown into a leadership role as a team coach.

The Pan Am Championships are held every two years and bring the best of the Pan American Region together.
