Police arrested a 19-year-old Cambridge woman and an 18-year-old Waterloo man early Thursday after responding to a report of a suspicious vehicle at the University of Waterloo.

Waterloo regional police were called to the campus around 6:30 a.m. Thursday by the university's Special Constable Service regarding a suspicious vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle had attempted to evade  UW special constables and struck one of their cruisers and a parked truck.

When police arrived they arrested the male driver and female passenger.

Police seized various drugs and BB guns that were located within the vehicle.

As a result of the investigation, both were charged with three counts of possession of drugs and possession of weapons for a dangerous purpose.

Both are scheduled to appear in court on April 22.
