Pickle Ball is a sport of all ages and abilities.

Pickleball club is gaining popularity and the City of Cambridge invites residents to swing by and try it as the summer months approach.

Everyone is invited to try pickleball and the new courts during a free open house at Duncan McIntosh Arena on May 28 from 12:30-2:30 p.m.

An instructor will be available to teach the basics of the game and answer any questions.

Pickleball is a sport for all ages and all abilities that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. Two or four players use solid paddles made of composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, similar to a wiffle ball, over a net.

Pickleball is played either as doubles, two players per team, or singles.

The Cambridge Recreation Centres offer drop-in recreational play for a variety of levels. Pay as You Play is a great option for those who are looking for flexibility in dates, times, and location. League play is also available.

For more information on how to play pickleball, view the City of Cambridge Pickleball Handbook
