Thanksgiving is just around the corner and the 519 Community Collective has announced the date for the support agency's free hot meal.
On Oct. 12 from 5 to 6 p.m. the 519CC will be serving 250 free or "pay what you can" Thanksgiving meals open to the public and anyone in need.
On their social media, the organization's founder Julie Sawatzky said the meal will be a takeout option only.
"If you are in need, you are welcome to join! We will have all the home cooked goodness you would expect, and some super friendly and fun volunteers serving," she wrote in the post.
The dinner will he held at the 519 Community Collective's Cambridge headquarters at 26 Ainslie St. N. directly across the street from the Ainslie Street bus terminal.
Social workers or community members who would like to collect a meal or two for those who can not attend due to health or mobility issues are also welcome to come in and grab some meals to deliver.
"We appreciate your support! Looking forward to an amazing meal, and can't wait to serve," wrote Sawatzky.
