Hespeler’s Harvest Festival helps welcome fall

Thousands of people were expected to make their way through Forbes Park for the 11th annual Harvest Festival on Saturday.

Nothing signals the start of fall in Cambridge quite like Hespeler’s Harvest Festival in Forbes Park.

Amanda Horne, executive director of the Hespeler Village Neighbourhood Association, was thrilled to be back in person after a two-year COVID hiatus.

“Everyone was very enthusiastic to be back,” Horne said.

“We want it to be an equal opportunity for people to come out and meet their neighbour. It’s a true family fun day.”

There was live music, crafts, a rock wall, bouncy castle and a petting zoo for families to enjoy.

Horne says it’s not uncommon to see upwards of 3,500 to 4,000 people come through the park for the festival.

The Harvest Festival takes place the fourth Saturday in September each year.
