The Kitchener Stray Cat Rescue's mission is to rescue as many cats and kittens as possible.

The Cambridge community is being encouraged to come out and cut a rug in support of the Kitchener Stray Cat Rescue.

The Love of Cats Dinner and Dance will take place on Feb. 11 at the Portuguese Club located on Townline Rd.

Along with a night of food and dancing, there will be a cash bar, silent auctions, a 50/50 draw and games with the proceeds helping support the rescue.

The Kitchener Stray Cat Rescue serves Kitchener, Waterloo and the surrounding areas, including Cambridge. According to their website their facility is currently full and not accepting more cats at this time.

The KSCR is a no-kill rescue with a goal to care for cats/kittens in crisis, and to find as many fur-ever homes as possible.

Doors open at 6 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m. Tickets are $40 per person and those wishing to attend are asked to RSVP by Feb. 3.
