The male was arrested by Guelph Police Service officers for theft and escaping custody and released with a future court date, however he subsequently failed to appear in court on the charges.

A 36-year-old Cambridge male was arrested Thursday on unrelated matters by Waterloo Regional Police and returned to Guelph, where he was additionally charged with failing to appear in court. He was held for a bail hearing Friday.
