This coming weekend, the Cambridge Pinebush vaccination clinic and three community mobile clinics will be offering parents and children more opportunities to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

The Cambridge Pinebush location has increased its capacity for a special Every Dose Counts weekend. The three community mobile clinics will also make it easier for the residents of several neighbourhoods to get a first or second dose of the vaccine closer to home.

“We’re very enthusiastic about hosting another Every Dose Counts weekend, this time with a focus on vaccinating 5-11 year olds and family members who still need a first or second dose,” said Vickie Murray, Lead for the Region of Waterloo vaccine rollout. “We also have mobile clinics planned at three community locations. We hope many families will take advantage of a fun opportunity to get their children vaccinated during the Every Dose Counts weekend.”

Many activities are planned for the Cambridge Pinebush vaccination clinic on Dec. 11-12 including:

  • Thunderstorm Productions will provide music, videos and free popcorn all weekend long
  • Friends from a galaxy far away (members of the Canadian Garrison of the 501st Legion) will be at the clinic Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Santa will make an appearance Sunday morning

The Region of Waterloo is also planning to bring mobile vaccination clinics to three local neighbourhoods for the Every Dose Counts weekend. Parents/guardians can book appointments at these mobile vaccination clinics starting Tuesday, Dec. 7. Check the regionofwaterloo/GetaVaccine for clinic details:

  • Saturday, Dec. 11: Chandler Mowat Community Centre
  • Saturday, Dec. 11: Victoria Hills Community Centre
  • Sunday, Dec. 12: Cedarbrae Public School

All parents/guardians can book an appointment for their children and family members to get vaccinated (first and second doses only) during the Every Dose Counts weekend on the Region of Waterloo website: regionofwaterloo/GetaVaccine.
