New food truck is rolling through Cambridge

Krankie Frankie's serves classic pub fare and comfort food

Husband and wife team, Ivana and Peter Neumann just launched Krankie Frankie’s food truck May 14.

After working for other restaurants and other people, Ivana needed to venture out and serve her food, feeding her bottom line.

“It’s our bottom line we're working our butts off for us and not for anyone else,” said Ivana.

Naming the truck after their daughter, they decided Krankie Frankie’s had a nice ring to it and set off to feed people in the community.

It’s the first food truck for them and they’re excited they get to do it together.

Ivana is the main chef inside the food truck, coming up with the pub grub theme; comfort food and food she loves to cook.

Krankie Frankie’s food truck serves classic pub food like a ‘Hub-Made’ burger and more unique dishes such as ‘Frankie’s Bifana’.

They are planning to add vegetarian meals to their menu.

The Cambridge couple may be new to owning a food truck but are almost fully booked for the summer, trying to squeeze in a few more stops here and there, Ivana said.

“Everybody's booked. There is a high demand for food trucks so definitely people like having us around for sure.”

“I think people love food trucks. People come out and they like to see variety.”

Krankie Frankie’s has been rolling through Cambridge and the region, meeting other food truck owners along the way.

They plan to keep the new food venture operating till the end of October or whenever it becomes too cold, Peter said.

“We're always on the road or in the driveway, prepping, or shopping, no days off.”

Cambridge can follow Krankie Frankie’s food truck on Facebook to see where they will be next.
