YWCA Cambridge will hand out four Women of Distinction Awards this year along with three special award categories.

The YWCA Cambridge is accepting nominations for its annual Women of Distinction Awards and says it will be taking a more holistic and inclusive approach when recognizing their 2023 recipients.

This year’s winners will be drawn from one pool of nominations, rather than people being nominated under a specific category like in years past.

The goal of this approach is to make sure nominees are recognized for their own unique strengths, achievements and contributions while focusing on the YWCA’s core values of equity, self-determination, inclusion, community and leadership.

Four Women of Distinction awards will be handed out, along with three special award categories.

The three special award categories are the Young Trailblazer Award (25 and under), the Lifetime Achievement Award (55 plus) and the President’s Award given to the person who works tireless to uplift and empower others and build a stronger, better Cambridge.

Deadline for nominations is March 17.

The Women of Distinction Awards Gala will take place on June 14 at Langdon Hall.
