Waterloo regional police want help naming the newest member of the canine unit.

Waterloo regional police are having a ruff time coming up with a name for the latest addition to their canine unit.

So, instead of barking up the wrong tree they're asking for the public's help to get creative with a name for the newest police pup.

The trained and ready-to-serve police dog will join Ranger, Tracker and Nicho in WRPS's Canine Unit.

WRPS has one stipulation for the new name. It should reflect the history of policing in Waterloo region since WRPS is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.

Suggested names can be submitted HERE.
