Cambridge pitcher Soucie comes up just short of national championship

Wabash Valley College finished the season 57-13

By the time Cambridge's Jackson Soucie was summoned from the bullpen by Wabash Valley College in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division I World Series final it was too little, too late.

The Warriors fell 13-6 to the College of Central Florida and with it dropped the national championship game.

After two pitchers were needed to escape the first inning and nine runs already on the board, Soucie came out of the bullpen and threw 4.2 innings. He allowed four runs (two earned) on four hits. He walked two and struck out eight in the outing.

It was his second appearances in the tournament as he got the start in Game 3 vs. Blinn College and picked up the win with 3.1 innings of work.

The St. Benedict Catholic Secondary School graduate completes his freshman college campaign with a 2-0 record, one save and a 5.04 ERA in 10 appearances.

He struck out an impressive 37 in 25 innings pitched.
