Donna Eleanor Jane Birtch passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at the age of 93.
Being a mother of five and a Nana to over 50 grandchildren (including 2 great-great-grandchildren), Donna was known as “Nana” to most everyone that knew her, including the friends of her grandchildren. We all have fond memories of the many sleepovers and fun extended stays at Nana’s house. Donna will also be remembered as a talented Country & Western singer.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her children Garry (Kathy), Linda, Karen (Bill), Mark (Margo), son-in-law John, and her many grandchildren and their spouses and families. Donna was predeceased by her husband Arnold Birtch, daughter Bonnie Heipel, and son-in-law Gord Dey. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
