Douglas Gary Booth age 79, of Cambridge, Ontario passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 24, 2022. Loving husband of Jennifer Louks, proud father of Andrew (Tiara), Sarah Jane (Jon), stepfather to Tamara (Dave), Tonja (Jeff), Trevor (Jessie d.2020), Daniel (Jean) and Darcy; grandfather to Talen, Raven, Cassady, Connor, Tinisha, Darian, Courtney, Ethan, Bryson, Samantha, Jackson, Ryder, Cheyanne, Raiden, Chester, Ariel, Jake, and Kody; great grandfather to Alex, Ivy, Damon, Peyton and Mason. Doug will also be missed dearly by his brother John, nieces Karen (Dave) and Linda (Ted), nephews Marcel and Michel (Ainslie) and their children Saara-Mya, David Jr., Sonya, Emory and Maddox.

Doug graduated from University of Toronto majoring in history and philosophy which prompted a lifelong passion for military history, especially Napoleon, and a love of debate and the use of the english language. He is a past member of the Mensa Canada Society, president of the Opinion Society and board member of Family and Children's Services Waterloo Region among others. He was an active foster parent for the past 20 years leading to many trips to Wasaga Beach with up to 9 children at a time. In his retirement Doug filled his days with reading, painting, gardening and growing his extensive collection of military figurines.
