SEPTEMBER 12, 1921 – MARCH 4, 2023

Marilyn passed away peacefully on March 4, 2023 at the Village of Winston Park Kitchener at the age of 101.

Loving wife of Wray for 65 years. Devoted mother of Barbara and her husband Bruce Robinson, Kathy and her husband Ron Bush, Randy, and Charlotte and her husband Tom O’Grady. Beloved grandmother of Wendy Robinson (Brad) and Robert Cline, Cassandra Cline (Karl) and Michael Cline.

Proud great-grandmother of Chase and Gavin.

Predeceased by her much loved husband Wray (2008), and daughter in law Rhonda (2023).

Born in London Ontario as the only child to Minnie and Herbert Brown. After both graduating from Western, Wray and Marilyn married in 1943 and moved to Nobel where Wray was an explosives inspector, and Marilyn was an office administrator for Defence Industries Limited during WW2. After the war, they moved to the Cambridge area, started a family, and became active in the local community.

Marilyn’s priority was always as a wife and mother. She further expressed this care for family and community by being involved. Her volunteer work included the Glen Morris Horticultural Society, United Way, and the United Church Women.

Cremation has taken place.

Marilyn’s family would like to give special thanks to the caring staff at The Village of Winston Park Kitchener, and Dr. Misan Lee and the 7th Floor nursing staff at St. Mary’s Hospital Kitchener for exceptional care and compassion.

Marilyn’s family will host a Celebration of Life with relatives and friends at a future location and date to be announced.

A private family internment will take place in the Spring.
