Sophie Mary Czerkaski (nee Sieminowski), of Cambridge Ontario passed away on Thursday November 24, 2022.
Dearly loved wife of Peter Czerkaski. Predeceased by parents, Walter and Genevieve Sieminowski, her two siblings Christine Favrin (Reno), Adolph Siminowski (Caroline). Missed by nephews and nieces, Gary (Jacquie), Michael (Sheila), Stephen (Stacy), Christine (Bruce), Rhonda (Leo), Mark and David (Marlene), Great nephews and nieces, John (Krystalia), Keenan (Laura), Katrina, Trenton, Matty, Cassandra, Great Great nephews and nieces, William, Andrew and Alison. She will be lovingly remembered by her many friends and neighbours.
Sophie was always family oriented, putting her family above all else, and was always in the dog house for standing up for them. In the 1960's she went along Route 66 to California with friends, and mentioned it often. She loved to crochet, paint Easter eggs and ceramics. Loving the outdoors, she tended to her back yard filled with various bushes and shrubs.
Sophie's family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, on Tuesday November 29th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be from St. Clements Parish, 745 Duke St., Cambridge on Wednesday November 30 at 11am. Interment will follow at Mount View Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Cambridge Memorial Hospital are greatly appreciated.
