AUGUST 19, 1924 – MARCH 19, 2022

Robert “Bob” Edward Hanna, age 97, passed away peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Saviour on Saturday, March 19, 2022.

Bob was born in Chatham, Ontario and served in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1941 – 1945. He loved model railroading, camping, and travelling, and he had his own large offset printing press. One of his many impressive achievements was building an operational Bensen Gyrocopter. Bob was friendly and generous, had an interesting sense of humour, and loved to help others.

He was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion and attended Roseville Church for many years. He was looking forward to heaven, where he is now reunited with his beloved wife Winnifred (2013), son Gordon (1967), and parents Thomas (1981) and Sarah Ethel (1982). Bob will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his son Patrick Hanna (Ruth), daughters Christine Frank (Kevin Frank) and Carolyn Crane, grandchildren Becky Lozano, Gordie Hanna, Julie Tovar, Jason Frank, Melanie Gooding, Brandon Frank, Ashley Crane, and Cody Crane, and 12 great-grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place and Bob’s urn will be laid to rest in a private family ceremony at Parklawn Cemetery. Details about the Celebration of Life will be announced soon. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Roseville Church or Future Vision Ministries would be appreciated.
