JUNE 9, 1935 – JANUARY 13, 2022
It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, (Lucy) Ruth Lamont at Cambridge Country Manor on January 13, 2022 at the age of 86 years old.
She was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Gladis (Hoskins) Spencer, brother Basil and sisters Eileen (Cohen) and Florence (Smart). Survived by her sister Grace (Speirs) of Cambridge. Loving wife of her late husband Norman Archibald Lamont. Loving mother to sons Les (Sharon) and Robert (pre-deceased) and daughter Sharon (Mike). Loving grandmother to Neil, Matthew (Lauren), Andrew and Tyler. Great-grandmother to Desirae, Mason, Liliana, Evangeline, Harlen and Sadie-Lynne.
Lucy was born in Russell, Manitoba. She moved to Galt, Ontario, married Norm and had three children. She worked for many years at Newlands Textile and Dresser (Ashcroft) IND before retiring and moving to Buckhorn, Ontario with her friend the late Jim Topley.
Visitation will be at Coutts Funeral Home on Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. All attendees must pre-register in advance, wear masks, provide their name(s) and number at the door and observe physical distancing.
