NOVEMBER 18, 1944 – JANUARY 15, 2022

It is with great sadness that we share the news of Sharon's passing on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at the age of 77.

She was resting peacefully at Cambridge Memorial Hospital and was blessed during these difficult and unique Covid times to have been able to have had some of her family share some time with her during her stay. She had only just hours before, heard the loving voices of her sisters, Linda and Bonnie. She was married to Ed Memmott (2020) for 41 years and she and Ed were the proudest parents of their son Michael. She was a kind and thoughtful woman that always put others before herself. She never complained about anything.

Sharon had a great sense of family and just how valuable family time was. She made sure that time was well spent letting all those that she loved know just how special they were. We will all certainly miss our birthday/anniversary and Christmas cards in the mail from now on. Her fondness for animals was clear as well and she loved when the four legged ones came to visit too.

In these past few years, Sharon enjoyed a special bond with her nephew Kevin. They loved watching and cheering for those Toronto Maple Leafs and they took good care of each other. He made her laugh on a daily basis.

Fondly loved by her family, Sharon leaves behind her brother Terry Zieman (Bev), her sisters Karen Bartlett (Walt), Bonnie George, Linda Green (Jim), Elaine King (Randy) and Eleanor Cherry (George). Sharon has many nieces and nephews that will miss her deeply. Sharon always held a special place in her heart too for 'Bob the pharmacist' and Maureen.

Sharon is predeceased by her husband Edward Memmott, her parents Walter and Marjorie Zieman, her twin sister Sheila Sutherland, her father and mother-in-law James and Clara Memmott, brothers-in-law Frank George and Robert Memmott. The family wishes to thank the Dr's, nurses and PSW's at Cambridge Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care over these past few years.

In accordance with her wishes, a celebration of the life she and Ed shared will be held at a later date when our large family can gather and share hugs like we always have. Arrangements entrusted to Barthel Funeral Home (519) 653-3251. As an expression of sympathy, smile at someone today and think of her.
