Shirley Flora Mercer passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at the age of 81.
Shirley was a social butterfly, a hardworking woman, and the Energizer Bunny. She enjoyed listening to Newfie music and cooking and baking for her family and friends. Shirley loved spending time at the trailer – caring for her flowers, enjoying a campfire, and helping with activities around the park. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her daughters Lorraine Kitchen (Gerald), Debbie Holland (Thomas), and Robin Mercer (Ira), and her grandchildren Connie, Corey, Darrin, Kyle, Jessica, Sydney, and Evan.
Shirley was predeceased by her husband Robert Mercer, son Raymond Mercer, and parents George and Minnie Bickford. Friends and relatives are invited to a Visitation at T. Little Funeral Home on Sunday, September 18th from 6pm – 9pm. The Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home’s chapel on Monday, September 19th at 11:30am. A reception will follow, and a private interment will take place at Glendale Memorial Gardens. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Lisaard and Innisfree Hospice would be appreciated.
