Lucy Pinheiro, beloved mother, daughter, sister, cousin, sister-in-law, and friend, passed away Thursday, April 7 at the age of 57.
Gone much too soon, she leaves behind so many beautiful memories that her daughters, friends and family will cherish forever.
Those who knew and loved her will remember her as being the life of the party. Lucy was fun, thoughtful, and affectionate. Her warm and selfless nature was felt by everyone she came into contact with. Her daughters were her whole world. Lucy devoted her life to her girls, and they were unconditionally loved.
Lucy loved travelling and visited so many countries and cities around the world. She had many fun and unforgettable vacations (especially those to Disney) with her family and with her lifelong friends, the Figueiredos. An avid lover of gardening, she spent many hours outdoors tending to her beautiful garden, which is as vibrant and as full of life as she was. She enjoyed walks in the neighbourhood, puzzles and board games, dancing, and a good book. Above all, Lucy cherished sharing these favourite pastimes with her family and friends.
Lucy is profoundly missed by her daughters, Katrina and Nicole; parents José and Maria; brothers Elden, Joe, and Paul; as well as her sons-in-law, grandson, brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, godchildren, friends, extended family, and her two adored cats, Oscar and Oliver.
Resting at Coutts Funeral Home in Cambridge, family and friends will be received on Monday, April 11, 2022 from 5 – 9 p.m. Services will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Clements Church, with interment following at Mount View Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cambridge & District Humane Society in Lucy’s name would be appreciated.
