Gerrie passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at St. Andrews Terrace, due to complications from Parkinson's disease at the age of 82.
Gerrie Quarrie, beloved wife and best friend of Robert "Bob" Quarrie. Loving mother of Paula Quarrie (Thomas Lee), Kenneth Quarrie (Karen Murphy), and Melissa Quarrie (Steven Howe). Proud Nanny of Matthew (Laura Webb), Joanna, Benjamin (Paige Snowdon), Alexander, Andrew, Evelyn and Eleanora. Born in Wabana, Newfoundland, Gerrie was one of 10 children born to Roy and Minnie Eveleigh - Lorraine, Donald, Carol, Eleanor, Linda, Rosalie, Roy, Chesley and Wayne. Gerrie was a faithful and active member of Knox's Galt Presbyterian Church for over 60 years. An avid photographer, world traveller and centre of every family gathering, she will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A memorial service celebrating Gerrie's life will take place at 2pm on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Grace Bible Church (formerly Knox's Galt Presbyterian Church), 2 Grand Ave. South, Cambridge, with Rev. Angus Sutherland officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1pm until service time.
