John Quin passed away peacefully at St. Andrews Terrace on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at the age of 98.
John was a kind, outgoing, fun-loving man. He was a proud “Lifetime Member” of the Galt Legion, Branch 121, where he held many executive positions over his 50+ years of membership.
John was born in Paisley, Scotland. In his younger years, he was an avid soccer player and coach as well as an outstanding golfer. John was a former employee of Babcock and Wilcox in Canada as well as in Scotland.
John will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his children John (Heather), Anne (Gary), Andrew (Anne), Jim (Tammy), Catherine (Brad), Maureen (Jim), as well as 11 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Isabel (2018), his parents John and Mary, brothers Andrew and James, and sisters Jean and Catherine.
The family would like to extend our sincerest thanks to the staff of St. Andrew’s Terrace for their wonderful care over the last 7 years.
Friends and relatives are invited to the funeral mass at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church in Cambridge on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 11:00 am with reception to follow at Coutts Funeral Home.
