George Hugh Russell passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at the age of 93.
George was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was also a dedicated member of the Masonic Lodge and the Eastern Star. George will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Elizabeth “Betty” Russell, daughters Fay MacPhee (Jim), Linda Darwen (Tom), and Elizabeth Tops, eight grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren. George was predeceased by his grandson Michael Darwen. As per his wishes, cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date when it is safe for us to gather in large numbers once again. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Lisaard House or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
