Calypso Shangas (nee Bantis) With deep sadness, we announce that our dear Mother, Calypso, passed away on September 9, 2021, at her residence, with her family by her side.
Beloved wife to Peter (2003), cherished Mother to daughter Cathy and son Tom (Irena), proud Grandmother to Nicholas (Annette) and also loved by Eric.
Predeceased by her young sister, Maria, in childhood, her loving parents, Demetrios and Polyxeni and her dear brother, Stavros.
Kind, caring, multi-talented, Calypso lived her life with honesty, integrity and compassion. Her deep love and devotion for her family, always a source of strength and inspiration.
We will forever miss her beautiful smile and loving heart.
A private family service will be held on Wednesday September 15, 2021.
We cannot thank enough, our long time family physician, Dr. Diane Humphrey, who continued to care for our dear Mother in the comfort of her own home. We also appreciate Allie, Connie, Abby and Cindy.
