AUGUST 29, 1944 – NOVEMBER 25, 2022
Paula Emily Skinner (nee Kimpel), of Preston (Cambridge), Ontario passed away on Friday November 25th at Cambridge Memorial Hospital after a brief illness in her 79th year.
Survived by sons Paul, Glen (Gayle Stevens), Guy and siblings, Sister Alfreda Kimpel, Sister Marty Kimpel, Dorothy Ruler and Doug Kimpel (Susan). Predeceased by husband, Stan, sisters Pat Kinzie Whitmer, Sandra Wakeford and brother John Kimpel. Loving grandmother of Patrick, Aaron, Jessica, Jamie, and Matthew. Great grandmother to Hope, Amber, Kayla, Emilie, Jaydon, Paisley, Jackson, Alex and great great grandmother to Arianna and Xavier.
Paula enjoyed playing cards, going to the casino, legion breakfasts and suppers and making people laugh. She worked at Tim Hortons on King and Eagle for 25 years making many friends with the customers she met. She was a member St. Clement's church for over 70 years and active in the CWL.
Thank you to the EMT's, Cambridge Memorial Hospital's emergency doctors and staff, the nurses and the PSW's that helped her out during her final days. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cambridge Memorial Hospital, Tim Hortons Foundation Kids Camp or your favourite OLG slots.
The Skinner Family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, on Monday, December 5th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated from St. Clement's Parish, 745 Duke Street on Tuesday, December 6th at 10:00 am. interment of ashes follow at Parklawn Cemetery.
