SMITH, David Lynn

DECEMBER 9, 1941 – JUNE 14, 2021

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of David Lynn Smith in his 80th year on June 14th, 2021.

David was born in Galt Ontario on December 9th 1941, he was predeceased by his parents Frederick and Dorothy Smith and his brother Allan (2006).

David is survived by his wife Anne Smith-Fowler, daughter Shelley Ponte (Tony) and son Paul. Granddaughter's Kaela (Dennis), Keisha (Jessy), and great granddaughter's Adelynne, Aubrie, Mila and Madyn.

David was a Salesman all of his life and loved to "talk up a room". He coached downhill skiing at Chicopee Ski Club with the Track 3 program which then led him to his ongoing support of Kids Ability. David had a passion for all things racing and was a long-time member of many Auto racing series in Ontario, his greatest joy was as Crew Chief for his son with the #28 TQ Midget Team.

We would like to thank the truly wonderful Dr.'s and nursing staff at both Cambridge Memorial Hospital and Grand River Freeport Palliative unit.

Due to current covid restrictions a private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations to Kids Ability would be greatly appreciated by the family.
