JULY 17, 1940 – MARCH 29, 2022

Sharon Marie Walters passed away peacefully at the Toronto General Hospital on Tuesday, March 29, 2022.

Sharon was a compassionate, caring person who was always willing to help others, and a good friend to many. She had great taste in art and décor, and loved good foods! She enjoyed travelling, knitting, walking, playing games, and music, especially singing, as she would often break into song. Sharon was a retired French Teacher and Guidance Counsellor from Senator O’Connor Catholic Secondary School in Toronto.

She was also generous with her time, volunteering for various organizations and charities. In her later years, Sharon maintained a keen interest in the news. Sharon will be deeply missed by her sister Peggy Rann (Bob), nieces and nephews Peter Rann (Rhonda), Mary Beth Rann, Jay Rann, Sarah Rann, all of Cambridge, and Meg Parsons (Jason) of Niagara-on-the-Lake, her great-nieces Jessica, Amanda (John), and Jacklyn, and her great-great-nephews Xavier and Zayden. Sharon’s memory will also be cherished by many cousins and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents Norbert and Sadie Walters (nee McEvoy). Cremation has taken place and a Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 13th at 11:30 am at St. Patrick’s Parish (53 Wellington St, Cambridge). Interment at Mount View Cemetery. A reception will follow at the T. Little Funeral Home, 223 Main St. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the University Health Network (Toronto General Hospital – Lung Disease Research), or L’arche Daybreak would be appreciated.
