Mary was born March 11, 1938 in Sault Saint Marie, Ontario. She moved to Bell Island, Newfoundland as a young child where she grew up and married her husband Gordon in 1957. They moved to Cambridge, Ontario in 1961 where they raised their four children. Mary was a long time employee of Dana-Long Manufacturing, retiring in 2003. After retiring, Mary became a greeter at the Walmart on Pinebush Rd., where she enjoyed meeting and interacting with people.

She was always there to offer someone a helping hand, whether they were family or a complete stranger. Mary was also known for her love of animals, taking in many strays over the years and making them part of her family.

No service or visitation will be held due to Covid-19. Cremation has taken place and as a proud Newfoundlander, Mary will return to her beloved Bell Island, Newfoundland.
