Canadian flags stolen from veterans' memorial in Dunnville, Ont.

DUNNVILLE, Ont. — Police say they're investigating after several Canadian flags were stolen from a park in Dunville, Ont.

The Veterans Voices of Canada have a "Flags of Remembrance" display of 128 full size Canadian flags at Wingfield Park.

Each flag represents 1,000 military members who have served in the Canadian Armed Forces.

The memorial was erected on Sept. 11 of this year and will be removed Nov. 12.

Provincial police say that six flags and three flagpoles have been stolen or damaged.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have noticed any suspicious persons or vehicles near the park to contact them.
