Arrest made in connection with Cambridge stabbing

Police say the victim was transported to an out-of-region hospital with non-life-threatening injuries

Officers from WRPS’ Neighbourhood Policing South Division have charged a male after a stabbing in Cambridge.

On Sept. 21, 2022, at approximately 4:50 p.m., police responded to a residence in the area of Dundas Street North and Chalmers Street North for an assault call. There, they located a male with multiple stab wounds.

The victim was transported to an out-of-region hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

As a result of the investigation, a 29-year-old Cambridge male has been charged with assault with a weapon and aggravated assault.

The victim and accused are known to one another.

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
