Arrest made in Halloween theft

Waterloo Regional Police have made an arrest after a theft investigation in Cambridge. 

On Oct. 31, 2021, at approximately 4:25 p.m., police received a report of a theft in progress at a business located in the area of Goddard Crescent. 

Upon arrival, officers located the suspect and made an arrest. 

As a result of the investigation, a 37-year-old Toronto male was charged with theft under $5,000, operate unsafe vehicle and defective brakes. 

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
