Cambridge driver behind wheel of SUV that struck 11-year-old cyclist

The girl was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries

Regional police continue to investigate a collision involving a cyclist in Kitchener.

It happened just before 4:30 p.m. Saturday, in the area of Bechtel Drive and Doon Village Road.

According to police, the 11-year-old female cyclist was crossing Bechtel when she was allegedly struck by an SUV. The girl was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The alleged driver of the SUV, a 68-year-old Cambridge woman, was not hurt.
