On April 24, 2022, at approximately 5:26 p.m. members of the Ignace Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police along with Northwest Emergency Medical Services and Ignace Fire Department responded to a report of a two vehicle collision on Highway 17, McNevin Township.
The investigation revealed that a westbound vehicle crossed into the eastbound lane and collided with an eastbound vehicle.
Both drivers were transported to hospital by EMS for minor injuries sustained from the collision.
As a result of the investigation, a 47-year-old resident of Cambridge, ON has been charged with the following offence:
- Careless driving - Highway Traffic Act 130(1)
