Cambridge man faces child porn charges

WATERLOO REGION –The Waterloo Regional Police Service's Cybercrime - Internet Child Exploitation Unit has arrested a male in connection to a child pornography investigation. 

In June 2021, police conducted an investigation involving child pornography after receiving information.  

On July 29, 2021, the Cybercrime - Internet Child Exploitation Unit completed a search warrant at a residence in Cambridge. 

As a result of the investigation, police arrested a 27-year-old Cambridge male, charging him with Possession of Child Pornography and Making Available Child Pornography.  

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing. 

The Waterloo Regional Police Service is a member of the Ontario Provincial Strategy to Protect Children from Sexual Abuse and Exploitation on the Internet. This project has been made possible by a grant from the Ministry of the Solicitor General.
