Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit has laid charges related to a July 2022, sexual luring investigation. As a result of the investigation, Matthew George Woodham, 29 years old of Cambridge, has been charged with luring a person under 16 years of age by telecommunication and invitation to sexual touching under 16 years of age contrary to the Criminal Code. The defendant is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice - Guelph at a later date.
