Cambridge teen faces child pornography charges

Police have arrested and charged a young person with child pornography offences. 

In April 2022, members of Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Cybercrime - Internet Child Exploitation Unit began a child pornography investigation. 

On May 11, 2022, as a result of the investigation, police arrested a 17-year-old Cambridge male. The accused was charged with possession of child pornography and making child pornography available. 

The Waterloo Regional Police Service is a member of the Ontario Provincial Strategy to Protect Children from Sexual Abuse and Exploitation on the Internet. This project has been made possible by a grant from the Ministry of the Solicitor General.
