Charges laid after early morning break and enter

Police say they responded to a call around 1:50 this morning after the 40-year-old allegedly entered a fenced compound in the area of Dundas Street North and Main Street

WATERLOO REGION – Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a male after a break-in at a business in Cambridge. 

On Aug. 2, 2021, at approximately 1:50 a.m., police responded to a report of a break and enter in the area of Dundas Street North and Main Street. 

Police were notified by a security company that a male had entered a fenced compound. 

Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service's Neighbourhood Policing South Division located and arrested the male a short distance away from the business. 

As a result of the investigation, a 40-year-old Cambridge male was charged with:

  • Break and Enter - Commit Indictable Offence,
  • Possession of Break-in Instruments and
  • Possession of Stolen Property under $5,000. 

The male is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 14, 2021.
