On May 3, 2022, at approximately 1:55 p.m., police received a report of a collision on Hespeler Road between Langs Drive and Bishop Street North in Cambridge.
A tractor trailer was travelling north on Hespeler Road when the driver attempted to merge lanes and struck a truck that was also travelling north. The tractor trailer fuel tank was punctured as a result of the collision and resulted in a diesel spill.
There were no physical injuries reported.
The Ministry of Environment, Region of Waterloo and City of Cambridge attended the scene to assist with the cleanup. Two northbound lanes on Hespeler Road were closed for the investigation and cleanup.
A 30-year-old Toronto male was charged with Change Lane- Not in Safety.
