Driver charged in Cambridge pedestrian collision

A 58-year-old pedestrian suffered serious injuries Monday afternoon

Police mark off belongings of a pedestrian who was hit by a truck on Water Street on Monday.

Waterloo Regional Police have now laid a charge in connection with a Cambridge collision from earlier this week.

It happened late Monday afternoon in the area of Water Street North and Park Hill Road East.

A 58-year-old man, who was crossing Water St., was allegedly hit by a Ford truck exiting the parking lot.

The man was taken to a hospital outside of the region with serious injuries.

A 71-year-old man has now been charged with careless driving -- causing bodily harm.
