Driver in hospital after being struck by transport truck

The driver of a black car was turning left from Hespeler Road onto Maple Grove Road in Cambridge when it was hit by a transport truck

Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate a motor vehicle collision at Hespeler Road and Maple Grove Road in Cambridge.

On Aug. 15, 2022, at approximately 12:10 p.m., emergency services responded to a collision involving a car and a transport truck.

The driver of a black car was turning left from Hespeler Road onto Maple Grove Road when it was struck by a transport truck that was travelling south on Hespeler Road.

The driver of the car, a 50-year-old Kitchener male, was transported by Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the transport truck, a 25-year-old Brampton male, reported no physical injuries.

The investigation is ongoing by members of the Traffic Services Unit.
