Man arrested with hardware and power tools after suspicious person report

Waterloo Regional Police have arrested and charged a male after receiving reports of a suspicious person in Cambridge.

On Jan. 24, 2022, at approximately 3:45 a.m., members of Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Neighbourhood Policing South Division arrested a male in the area of Elliott Street and Vimy Street.

Officers seized a number of power tools and hardware pieces. These items are believed to have been taken from the Lincoln Park area.

As a result of the investigation, a 28-year-old Kitchener male has been charged with possession of stolen property under $5000, trespass at night and two counts of fail to comply with a release order.
