Man caught cutting bleachers at Victoria Park baseball diamond

The 51 year old was charged with theft as a result

On May 27, 2022, at approximately 5:35 a.m., police received a report of a theft in progress at Victoria Park in the area of Fisher Mills Road and Clemens Avenue in Cambridge.

Officers arrived and located a male cutting the bleachers at the baseball diamond and arrested him.

As a result of the investigation, a 51-year-old Cambridge male was charged with: 

  • Theft under $5,000
  • Mischief under $5,000
  • Possession of break-in instruments

The investigation is ongoing as investigators are looking to identify and speak to an individual that fled the area at the time of the incident in a grey Dodge pickup truck. The truck was last seen travelling towards Sheffield Street and had a large amount of metal and equipment in the back of it.

The individual was described as a white male and was wearing white pants with a white hooded sweater.
