Motorcyclist sustains serious injuries in Spragues Road crash

35-year-old was transported to out of region hospital with serious but non life-threatening injuries

Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate a motor vehicle collision on Spragues Road near Alps Road in North Dumfries Township.

On Aug. 4, 2022 at approximately 10:35 p.m., emergency services responded to a collision involving a vehicle and a motorcycle.

The motorcycle rider was travelling east on Spragues Road and lost control. The rider was ejected and the motorcycle slid a short distance before crossing the centreline and striking a vehicle travelling in the opposite direction.

The 35-year-old motorcycle rider was transported to an out of region hospital by Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services with serious but non life-threatening injuries.

The 35-year-old driver of the vehicle was not injured.

The investigation is ongoing by members of the Traffic Services Unit.

Spragues Road was closed for several hours for the investigation.
